Our leadership
Dr Meryl Forse
Clinical & Managing Director
Dr Meryl Forse is our founder and Clinical Director. With over 15 years’ experience in working with children, young people and families, she leads our Clinical department as well as the overall strategy for the business.
Dr Charles Forse
Business Director
Dr Charles Forse is our Business Director. He looks after and leads all non-clinical work, including administration, finance and commercial matters. He brings over 30 years’ commercial management experience to our team.
Dr Rachel Faul
Clinical Lead
Dr Rachel Faul is our Clinical Lead. She assists Meryl with looking after the clinical side of the business, and brings significant experience in working with children, young people and families to the team.
Lauren Ryan
Practice Manager
Lauren is our Practice Manager. She assists Charles in running the non-clinical side of the business. She brings over 10 years’ marketing, analytics and administration experience to the team.
Our clinical team
Our highly qualified clinical team are experts in working with children, young people and families. In addition to an extensive understanding of children and young people who have experienced trauma, the team has individual areas of expertise, such as developmental trauma, attachment difficulties and complex mental health needs.

Our admin team
Our support team work behind-the-scenes to keep everything running smoothly. They look after all non-clinical work, including case onboarding, training preparation, finance and general business support. If you have any questions, they’re usually the best people to speak to first.
Our associates
We are committed to providing the most appropriate psychology service to meet each unique need of our clients. At times, Gateway Psychology will work in collaboration with well-qualified associates or other psychological services to ensure that the client receives the most appropriate service and intervention.
Our professional registrations
HCPC
The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is the official regulator of health and care professions in the UK. Registration is a requirement for all UK clinical psychologists and dramatherapists.
Social Work England
Social Work England is a regulatory body for social workers in England. The organisation provides professional and education and training standards for the profession.
Play Therapy UK
PTUK leads the way when setting the standards to ensure high quality of care when play therapy, therapeutic play skills and creative arts therapies are used with children.
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks
All new and existing staff members are subject to DBS checks, which are kept updated on a regular basis. Our clinicians are subject to enhanced DBS checks, while our admin roles are subject to standard DBS checks.
